The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 147 suspects during coordinated raids on criminal hideouts as part of the ongoing Operation KOS’AYE III. The early morning operation on Sunday, 19th July 2026 at about 5:30 a.m. targeted areas including Boolar, Super Ile-Epo and other identified black spots across the state. The joint operation, carried out by operatives from different formations, was aimed at flushing out hoodlums and criminal elements terrorizing residents.
Exhibits recovered include 250 expanded cartridges, 22 machetes, 5 battle axes, 2 knives, 1 scissors, 1 lighter, assorted charms and substances suspected to be Indian hemp. The Command said all suspects are in custody while investigations are ongoing to establish individual culpability. Those found culpable will be prosecuted.
Commissioner of Police, CP Tijani Fatai, commended the operatives for their professionalism and reiterated the Command’s commitment to sustaining Operation KOS’AYE across Lagos in order to deny criminals any safe haven.
