The Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Lagos has pledged stronger collaboration with the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) to improve criminal investigations and public safety across the state. The commitment was made during a courtesy visit by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of FCID Annex, AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom, and his team to the LSSTF office in Lagos.
Receiving the delegation, LSSTF Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan, congratulated AIG Akpanudom on his new role and praised his dedication to policing. Dr. Ogunsan reiterated LSSTF’s commitment to supporting security agencies and announced a donation of 50 bulletproof vests and ballistic helmets to FCID Annex Lagos. He added that the Fund will continue to provide support to enhance operational capacity and investigation activities.
AIG Akpanudom thanked President Bola Tinubu and IGP Olatunji Disu for the opportunity to lead the command. He lauded LSSTF for past support, especially training for FCID detectives that has improved professionalism and case handling. He assured that FCID Annex will continue to align with the IGP’s people-centric policing vision through strategic stakeholder partnerships. The visit ended with the exchange of a commemorative plaque to cement the partnership.
