Forward Operating Base FORMOSO on Friday, 17 July 2026 held a get-together for officers, ratings and civilian staff as part of efforts to boost morale and personnel welfare in line with the Chief of the Naval Staff’s directive. The event featured the celebration of personnel and civilian staff born between April and June, as well as the presentation of awards to the Best Rating and Best Civilian Staff of the Month in recognition of exemplary service.
The relaxed gathering provided a platform for officers, ratings and civilian staff to interact freely, strengthen teamwork and build stronger interpersonal relationships across departments. The Commanding Officer said the initiative was aimed at fostering greater cohesion and enhancing operational effectiveness within the Base.
In his remarks, the Commanding Officer, Capt SK Haruna, commended personnel for their dedication and commitment to duty. He noted that such programmes reflect the CNS’s deliberate efforts to reward excellence and promote a conducive working environment, stressing that hard work never goes unnoticed. Capt Haruna congratulated the award recipients and birthday celebrants, and charged all personnel to remain professional and committed to the discharge of their responsibilities.
