Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has expressed appreciation to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Tunji Disu, for the prompt deployment of an operational police aircraft to support security operations across the state. The Governor said the aircraft was requested to further strengthen Ogun’s security architecture and sustain the campaign against criminality and banditry, and the IGP approved the request without delay.

The Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, received the aircraft and crew on behalf of the state government. He conveyed the Governor’s gratitude to the IGP for his swift response and commitment to safeguarding lives and property. Talabi noted that the aircraft will boost aerial surveillance, intelligence gathering, and rapid response, while also complementing ongoing efforts to flush out criminal elements. He described the move as further evidence of the strong collaboration between the Ogun State Government and security agencies in protecting residents and critical infrastructure.

According to him, the deployment will reinforce _Operation Kosaye_, the joint security initiative targeting kidnappers, bandits and other criminals in forests, border areas and other flashpoints. Governor Abiodun reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to continue supporting security agencies, stressing that investments in peace and security remain central to the state’s economic growth and development.
