The leadership of the Nigeria Online Media Alliance (NOMA), led by Chairperson Theresa Moses, has paid a courtesy visit to Polaris Bank to appreciate its support for the 2026 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking workshop for media practitioners. The delegation was received by Mr. Rasheed Bolarinwa, Group Head, Brand Management and Corporate Communications, at the bank’s corporate headquarters in Lagos.
During the visit, NOMA presented a plaque to Polaris Bank in recognition of its partnership and commitment to promoting responsible journalism and addressing critical social issues. Moses thanked the bank for backing initiatives that empower journalists to become advocates for positive change, noting that fighting drug abuse requires collaboration between the media, corporate bodies, government and civil society. She expressed optimism about deepening the partnership through future advocacy campaigns, media development programmes and youth empowerment projects.
Responding, Bolarinwa commended NOMA for championing advocacy against drug abuse, describing it as a serious threat to society. “Drug abuse in our society is a time bomb, and any organization that has taken it upon itself to champion advocacy deserves to be appreciated,” he said.
The visit reinforced both organizations’ shared commitment to social responsibility, youth development and public awareness. Members of the NOMA delegation including Oluwatosin Simon Faleye, Dennis Okosun and Eric Elezuo joined the Chairperson in presenting the plaque and discussing future areas of collaboration to strengthen journalism and advance nation-building initiatives.
