The old students of Oshodi secondary school, Tolu School Complex,Olodi- Apapa , Lagos State, have trooped out in their numbers to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the school.
The two day event has been hailed as a first by the old students who consider their alma mater as one of the finest in Lagos State.
On Friday, the 13th Of October, 2023, the gathering started with a re- creation of the assembly by the old students led by one of their own. Other activities that highlighted the day include a tour around the school complex, commissioning of a state of the art Home Economics laboratory by the Commissioner for Basic Education in Lagos State and the launching of the proposed school hall.
Other activities for the day were seminars on the “Pain And Gain Of Cyber Enabled Modern Slavery” with Evelyn Usman, news editor, Vanguard newspaper. Another seminar held by Dr. Aliu Yusuf treated the topic of ” Healthy Study Habit As A Tool For Academic Achievement”.
A novelty football match was also played at the event.
Speaking with some of the old students, they spoke on the development of the school and how it made positive impact on the lives of many people who can proudly look back and speak highly of their alma mater.
