The Prayer and Support for Nigerian Armed Forces and other Security Agencies (PSNAFSA) has commended the Nigerian Armed Forces, Police, intelligence agencies, local hunters, vigilante groups and patriotic citizens for the successful rescue of abducted pupils and teachers in Oyo State after 56 days in captivity. In a statement by Convener, Ambassador Mary Abayomi-Fatile, PSNAFSA particularly praised the Nigerian Navy Special Boat Service, the NAF Panthers, and the ONSA Tactical Team for their professionalism and coordinated action, noting that the operation underscores the effectiveness of inter-agency collaboration in complex rescue missions.
The group described the safe return of the victims as a remarkable achievement that reflects synergy, resilience and the collective will to protect innocent lives, bringing relief to families and Nigerians who followed the ordeal with concern. PSNAFSA also acknowledged the courage and sacrifice of security personnel and the critical role of community members who provide intelligence and support. While celebrating the feat, the organization mourned the teacher who lost his life during the incident and prayed for comfort for his family and the school community.
PSNAFSA urged Nigerians to continue supporting security agencies with timely information, vigilance and prayers, stressing that security is a collective responsibility. It also called on the Federal Government to sustain investment in the security sector through modern equipment, better logistics, actionable intelligence and improved welfare for personnel. The group prayed for the safety and success of troops and encouraged agencies not to relent until every hostage is rescued and every community can live in peace.
